We are looking for a new and enthusiastic leader for Springmead Primary school.  We have all the ingredients of a good school, we are joining the Spiral Partnership Trust MAT and after a recent turbulent period, are now well placed to make rapid imrpovement back to the good school it recently was.  We are recruiting a new leadership team for September 2018 to lead us through this exciting period.  The new Headteacher will be supported by a new deputy and a recently appointed SENCo and exerienced middle leadership team.

The Headteacher will join other new heads in our family of six primary schools and are expanding our teams further to include specialist Maths and English teachers to ensure Springmead has excellent support and expertise to help its improvement journey. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic to develop excellent teaching and learning, nurture staff and children and establish an excellent school at the heart of the local community.

Springmead Primary School is a popular well-resourced two-form entry primary school in Welwyn Garden City. The number on roll is 434. There is a large hall for assemblies and PE and a separate library. Outside the building there are extensive fields, a purpose built all-weather court and an environmental area.
