We are looking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and highly motivated leader who will build upon our successes and be instrumental in helping to shape the future of our school.

We are a nurturing community where children are at the heart of all we do. Our dedicated staff work hard to ensure that children thrive during their time with us and that they become successful, confident learners. We have a strong Christian foundation, at the heart of our local community and we seek to install in the children the values of courage, compassion, creativity, cognisance and commitment.

This role will suit an experienced Assistant/Deputy Head or existing Headteacher, with the passion and vision to drive forward a successful primary school and nursery.

We are looking for:

  • An aspirational strategic leader.
  • A proven track record with the ability to inspire and motivate others, ensuring staff are supported, valued and encouraged.
  • A strong knowledge of evidence based pedagogical research.
  • A strong sense of community and community engagement.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and professional development of staff.
  • Dedication to high standards and achieving the best outcome for every child.
  • Someone who will ensure the school’s theologically rooted Christian Values and Vision are clearly articulated and lived out.

Our new Headteacher will:

  • Have a proven track record raising standards in primary education.
  • Build on our achievements and push the school on to greater success.
  • Prioritise the wellbeing of our children and staff.
  • Have high expectations of all pupils in their attainment, behaviour and attendance, and the skills needed to translate these expectations into pupils achieving their full potential.

In return we can offer you:

  • Fantastic children with outstanding behaviour who strive to achieve their best.
  • A recent Ofsted inspection affirming that we continue to be a ‘good’ school.
  • An enthusiastic, dynamic and supportive leadership team.
  • A warm positive working environment where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed.
  • Friendly and dedicated staff supported by committed governors and dedicated PTA.
  • The opportunity to make a crucial contribution to the life of our Christian school.
  • A vibrant and supportive local community.
  • A stimulating and exciting curriculum well supported with trips and events.
  • Some brilliant facilities to support teaching including sports arena, outdoor classroom and refurbished school hall.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.

If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply and a visit to the school is warmly welcomed. Please see further details in the applicant pack.

Closing date for applications: Friday 22 November 2024 at 9.00am

Please be advised that references may be requested on receipt of your application. Please state if you wish this to be delayed until shortlisting/interviews have taken place.

We reserve the right to withdraw this vacancy at any time ahead of the closing date if there is a good level of response. Therefore, we recommend you submit your application as early as possible.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.
