Are you looking to get in to Teaching?
We are looking for Apprentice Teachers to join Harlow College. You must already hold a Level 2 Maths and English, we will then train you to become a teacher.
As an Apprentice you will be employed full time on a permanent contract, working for part of your week on our Harlow Campus in the role, and part of the week in training at Harlow College. The plan for teaching and training will be designed around each apprentice.
As an Apprentice you will teach young people and adults within all parts of the Education and Training Sector (ETS) and are responsible for planning, delivering and assessing learning that’s current, relevant, challenging and that inspires learners to engage and achieve their full potential. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and other Education and Training sector – (ETS) professionals in supporting learner progress, as well as ensuring the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of learners.
On-programme assessment
Each apprentice must complete the following on-programme assessment requirements:
- On-programme knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) with the employer’s confirmation- evidenced through your paid teaching role at Harlow College
- Teacher training course - delivered by the College on one day a week
- Mandated qualification in Level 2 Safeguarding – training provided by the college
- Level 2 (GCSE) in English and Maths minimum grade 4. – Please note that this is a requirement before you start the programme.
Following the completion of all the above, you will be submitted for your final certification. This will usually take 2 years to achieve. Following the successful completion, you will be a qualified Teacher at Level 5.

About the College
