We are a KS2 academy in Conisbrough, Doncaster, who really value the support of our whole school community and work relentlessly to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. We believe that pupils should be able to look back at their academy days as a time when they were happy, where work was stimulating and challenging and achievement was recognised and celebrated. Our aim is to ensure that all of our children are; ‘Happy & Safe, Show Respect, Enjoy a Challenge and Celebrate Diversity, so they can be Ready and Fit for their Future’.
In order to achieve these aims, we strive for children to attain the highest possible standards in English and Maths, through quality first teaching and learning experiences across the full range of National Curriculum subjects, all within a supportive and challenging environment. We have developed an exciting and stimulating wider curriculum, with visits and visitors to provide a focus and stimulate children’s curiosity and encourage learning. Children are also offered a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities including daily after-school clubs, residential visits, sporting fixtures and cultural visits. In recognition of our PE provision, the ‘School Games Gold Mark’ was awarded this year. We always insist on the highest standards of behaviour and expect that children will do their best at all times. By adopting a ‘Growth Mindset’ approach, we develop and actively encourage positive learning behaviours in all of our pupils, to enable them to fulfil their potential during this stage of their education and beyond.
