Salisbury Road Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant who has experience working with SEN children to join our outstanding team.
Hours/Weeks: 32.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per year
Working alongside the SENCO, the Higher Level Teaching Assistant will deliver high quality teaching and learning, primarily in the inclusion provision, and provide support for pupils with EHCPs and SEND to access learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the inclusion hub and will work collaboratively with the SENCO to further develop the school inclusion provision.
We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants who:
- Have experience of working within a primary school
- Have experience working with children with additional needs e.g. SEND, EAL, pupil premium children
- Can build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes
- Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working
- NVQ3 or equivalent experience

Salisbury Road is two form entry primary school that serves the locality of St Judes, near the city centre. We are situated in a large, three-storey, Victorian building in the heart of the community, and work closely with many local partners.
