Homeroom Teacher - Kindergarten/ Early Years
To provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners aged 1.5 to 5 years. Guided by the relevant curriculum, Homeroom Teacher will lead the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices to support children's holistic growth and development. Homeroom Teacher will be teaching the subjects; ELAR, Numeracy, Science, Art, Music and ICT (for K2 only) that are aligned with relevant curriculums implemented in the ELC departments.
- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans based on the IEYC framework to promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning. Manage classroom resources, materials, and equipment effectively to support teaching and learning activities.
- Conduct ongoing observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and development.
- Establish open and collaborative partnerships with parents/guardians through regular communication, including parent-teacher conferences, newsletters, and informal updates.
Qualifications
- An effective educator demonstrates clear communication, empathy, adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, positivity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous growth.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Familiar with Cambridge curriculum / IEYC Curriculum
- Experienced working with children in classroom setting
- Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
- Possessing knowledge and experience in differentiated learning
