About the Role

As the Human Resource Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing all aspects of HR operations within PRISM. Reporting directly to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with organisational goals, ensuring compliance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Lead recruitment efforts, including advertising, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Design recruitment strategies that attract a diverse and talented workforce.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as the primary contact for employee relations, addressing workplace concerns effectively.
  • Promote a positive organisational culture grounded in teamwork and inclusivity.

Performance Management:

  • Implement performance review systems to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management and staff development.
  • Coordinate training initiatives to address skills gaps and enhance employee growth.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and organisational policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee activities, including performance and contractual updates.
  • Oversee risk management, including comprehensive and up-to-date risk assessments.

Benefits and Payroll:

  • Administer staff benefits programs, including health and retirement plans.
  • Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Strategy and Leadership:

  • Align HR initiatives with the strategic direction of PRISM.
  • Participate in executive meetings, contributing HR insights to organisational planning.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the education or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage a budget.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for fostering positive workplace environments.
