Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced IB PYP & MYP & DP French Language Teacher to join our vibrant international school community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Delivery:
- Develop and deliver dynamic and culturally rich French language lessons aligned with the IB PYP, MYP, and DP frameworks.
- Integrate language skills, cultural exploration, and interdisciplinary connections into lesson plans.
2. Assessment and Evaluation:
- Create and implement authentic assessments that align with IB standards for language acquisition.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, fostering their language development.
3. Cultural Enrichment:
- Promote an appreciation for French culture and foster global-mindedness through language instruction.
- Organise cultural events, guest speakers, or field trips to enhance students' cultural awareness.
4. Differentiated Instruction:
- Cater to diverse learning styles and abilities by implementing differentiated instructional strategies.
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance language acquisition.
5. Collaboration and Professional Development:
- Collaborate with colleagues to align language learning across PYP, MYP, and DP.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in language education and IB methodologies.
6. Parent and Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' language proficiency and progress.
- Actively engage with parents during conferences and school events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master's degree in French Language Education or related field.
- Teaching certification and/or qualifications.
- Advanced English language (at least B2 required).
- Prior experience teaching in an IB World School setting would be beneficial.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technologically proficient in integrating digital tools into language instruction.
- Adaptability and openness to collaborative teaching practices.

International School of Tallinn (IST) was founded in 2016 and opened its doors in September 2017 to be a part of the ecosystem of Ülemiste City, the largest smart city in the Baltics.
