ICT Technician
36 hours per week (Monday to Friday) x 52 weeks per year
Grade: GLWC SO1 Point 23 – 25 (£37,068 - £38,058)
Required to start as soon as possible; an experienced and highly organised technician with 1st and 2nd line IT desktop support experience to join a highly motivated and successful ICT team to support all users, manage/administer/maintain the school’s network/systems, provide whole school technical support and carry out trouble shooting. It is essential that candidates who apply for this role are able to demonstrate, amongst others, the following:
· Strong customer service focus
· Ability to prioritise effectively
· Proven experience in first and second line IT desktop support
· Ability to work in a team and report to a line manager
· Ability to use own initiative
· Hold relevant qualifications
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate an understanding with good technical working knowledge of networks and IT systems in a school environment.
- Windows Server 2022 – Active Directory User and Group Management, GPO, DHCP, DNS
- Windows 10 and 11
- MS Office 2019 – (MS Office Suite including Word & Excel)
- General knowledge of Office 365
- Knowledge and experience of Google Apps for Education
- Working experience of School MIS system (SIMS)
- General Knowledge of Virtual Machine (Hyper-V manager)
- General knowledge of Wireless Network system (Ruckus)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) - not essential
- General Web Publishing

Emerson Park Academy is a mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11-16 years.
Since September 1999, 192 pupils have been admitted annually, in response to parental demand. The Academy can trace its roots back to 1943 when it began life as the only Grammar School in the country to be establised during World War Two. It move to its present site in 1954 and became a comprehensive school in 1973.
