Arcadia Global School, Dubai is a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Teacher who can join us from August 2024. The successful candidate will be working as part of the school's Inclusion team, ensuring students in primary school have the required support to maximise their full school experience.

Arcadia Global School Al Furjan is a new high quality British curriculum school. The school’s aspiration is to be the inclusive school of choice for parents within the Al Furjan community and beyond, where every student is happy, positive, and thriving academically, socially and emotionally.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. 
  •  Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
  •  Minimum 3 years’ experience as an inclusion teacher, SENCO or other role relating to specialist student support.
  • A SENCO or similar specialist teaching qualification relating to the support of those with additional needs, with a proven track record in performance outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with British educational standards and regulations related to inclusion.
  • Committed and dedicated to raising standards in alignment with the school’s vision, mission and values. 
  • A professional who works collaboratively both within the immediate team and across the wider school community.
  • An advocate for inclusive practice, with a passion for enriching the opportunities of all learners.

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion programs and strategies.
  • To ensure the curriculum is delivered in an exciting and challenging way and meets the needs of individual pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Assist teachers in the development of children’s individual goals e.g. assist with planning
  • Familiarise themselves with and work towards the child’s IEP
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality where individual needs are concerned
  • Communicate professionally at all times with pupils, their families, outside agencies and all staff members
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • A genuine passion for inclusion and a commitment to promoting an inclusive culture within the school.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and principles.
