Job overview
Thinking of a change in career? Do you have the skills and compassion to care for children or young people with complex and exceptional needs?
Hertfordshire County Council is looking to recruit Intensive Foster Carers who will be trained and paid a £65,000 skills and payments allowance. We are particularly looking for people who have worked in the educational profession as we know they will have many of the skills we need.
As an intensive foster carer, you will provide a safe and nurturing foster home for a child or children who would otherwise be cared for in residential children's homes.
You will be given therapeutic parenting training, and both carers and children will receive ongoing support from a dedicated team of outreach workers.
You need to be aged over 21 and have a spare room. You also need to live in Hertfordshire or surrounding areas.
