We are seeking an interim assistant head teacher for 1 term, to support the work of the senior leadership team whilst the federation are going through the recruitment process for an executive Head Teacher. The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team and will liaise closely with the Heads of Schools, promoting achievement for all pupils in the school. 

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher and strategic leader with a resilient character and a strong personal drive.

The ideal candidate will also: 

·        Have the ability to teach across all primary age classes.

·        Have the ability to lead staff (both teaching staff and support staff) in developing their knowledge and expertise in the primary classroom. 

·        Have the necessary communication skills to enable effective liaison with a variety of external agencies and parents/carers. 

·        Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills with all members of the school community. 

·        Have excellent classroom management skills and be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting for pupils with a range of different abilities and needs – SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL. 

·        Contribute to the process of writing the school self-evaluation and the school improvement plan. 

·        Be dedicated to their own professional development. 

·        Contribute to creating a supportive ethos and a stimulating school environment.
