Job overview

We are looking for a customer-focused IT Network Infrastructure Analyst with excellent IT network skills and experience to join our successful IT team. The role will maintain and continue to develop alongside the IT Network team a reliable and responsive Luminate Education Group IT network infrastructure. 

The IT team has standardised the IT network connectivity using Fortigate and Extreme Technology Networking Solutions: Discover Cloud Services | Extreme Networks

This is an exciting time for the IT team as Luminate Education Group continues to expand and this role will support our exciting new build plans across the group.

What You Will Do

  • Operational management for the group Wide Area Network (WAN) and Internet links ensuring network connectivity to all group locations. 
  • Alongside the IT Network team develop, maintain and review disaster recovery (DR) plans supporting the business continuity plans (BCP). 
  • To ensure accurate network and server documentation is available. 
  • Ensure the procurement of IT network equipment, software and server infrastructure is in accordance with the College financial regulations and procedures. 
  • Work with the ITSS management team on the operational management of IT-related projects. 
  • Work with the IT Network team to continuously review and evaluate the functionality of ICT systems to ensure they are meeting the current and future needs of the group. 
  • Working and support knowledge of at least two of the following networking areas; Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Servers including Active Directory, switches/routing, voice and telecommunication systems. 
  • Management and support of the Virtual Private Network (VPN) Systems ensuring secure and remote access to all staff. 

About You

  • You will be skilled in IT network fundamentals and willing to learn and gain more experience.
  • Be customer-focused, working part of a successful team delivering an excellent shared IT service across Luminate Education Group, constantly achieving over 95% customer satisfaction each year.
  • Comprehensive IT Network Infrastructure (LAN and WAN) experience and knowledge.
  • Experience of a selection of VPN, Campus Firewalls, Cloud Wi-Fi and 3rd party data centres management.
  • Well-developed planning and project management skills with an organised project planning approach to major IT projects and developments.
