Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Junior School Supply Teacher to join a College based in Hillingdon.

The College is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking and dedicated teacher to inspire their pupils, and to join their warm and energetic teaching team. This is an opportunity to join their bank of supply teachers within the school.

You will be an inspiring and impactful teacher, who is passionate about girls’ education. You will embrace their unashamedly ambitious curriculum, with its emphasis on academic rigour, emotional literacy and thinking skills. Your teaching style will balance nurture and flair, and you will be keen to improve your knowledge and practice. You will be ready to play a valuable role in their vibrant school community through your excellent teaching and overall contribution to school life.

Please note that this is not a permanent contracted position within the school, but they can maintain high standards across their school if they utilise cover staff who know their pupils and systems. It also supports them in their commitment to the safeguarding of pupils to engage with those who are known to their school.

About the Junior School:

Set in a vibrant environment that simply buzzes with dynamic energy, excitement, curiosity and the sense of discovery, the Junior School constitutes an academically rigorous, inspirational and all-rounded education in itself, as well as providing the important bridge to their highly academic Senior School. In their last ISI inspection it was noted that “Pupils are excellent communicators and very articulate. They develop a wide vocabulary from a young age, become accomplished readers, speak and write well and readily apply these skills to all other areas of their learning. They are adept in debate and discussion, expressing their opinions and reasoning clearly”.

They believe, with a passion, that every day at the college should be a fulfilling and enriching experience within a happy, vibrant and considerate community.

They are an inclusive school and actively welcome and encourage applications from all.

Early applications are encouraged, and they may interview candidates prior to the deadline.

All applicants need to have the Right to Work in the UK to be considered for the role.
