Lea Valley Academy are pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a helper in Food Technology classes, on a part time basis. The role will be to help oversee students while they conduct their practical cookery lessons during the school day.

Full training will be provided however the ideal candidate will be highly organised with good attention to detail.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Helping the class teacher prepare the classroom for practical lessons for the day ahead.

·        Clearing and tidying away after lessons making the room presentable for the next class.

·        Ensure pantry items are stocked up on a timely basis.

 

Kitchen Assistant for Food Technology Key Skills:

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         Ability to follow instructions.

·         Demonstrate attention to detail.

·         Extremely patient and able to stay vigilant throughout cookery lessons

·         Organised and excellent time management skills

·         Working in an education setting experience desirable but not essential.

Salary Scale 3 Pt5-6 (actually salary £9,687 - £16,146 depending on how many hours worked – ideally we are looking for someone who can commit 3-5 hours a day (timings to be agreed), 39 weeks per year.
