Due to significant growth within our organisation, we are currently looking to recruit a Kitchen Technician to join our excellent Catering team. 

Post:              Kitchen Technician

Salary:          Scale 3  £21,878—£22,209 actual pro-rata salary

Contract:      Permanent, term time only at 39 weeks

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised individual with good knowledge and experience of working in a catering environment.

As a Kitchen Technician, your role will require you to ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be supporting teachers with their lesson requirements as well as overseeing the day to day culinary operations, therefore, excellent organisational skills are a must.

Our successful candidate will have good knowledge and experience in the following:

• Maintaining a clean and safe catering environment in line with health & safety standards
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards
• Knowledge of setting up equipment for practical classes / sessions
• Knowledge of current legislation and hygiene regulations
• Monitoring of stock and ordering supplies when necessary
• First Aid qualification desirable
• Knowledge of using IT systems

As well as working collaboratively within the Catering Team, you will need to demonstrate these skills when working with all staff, students, visitors and external suppliers.
