Fixed term contract from September 2024 until July 2025.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, during term-time.

The Elms is a thriving independent school on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire Border and caters for children from Nursery to 11 years.

This role involves teaching LAMDA syllabuses to Year 5 and Year 6 students, preparing them for their annual examinations, managing records and timetables, and communicating with the leadership team and LAMDA association.

The ideal candidate should have relevant qualifications, proven teaching experience, familiarity with the LAMDA examination system and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, as well as:

  • Relevant qualification in LAMDA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching LAMDA syllabus, particularly in Speaking of Verse & Prose, Speaking in Public, and Acting: SOLO.
  • Familiarity with the LAMDA examination submission system.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the leadership team and LAMDA association.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
