The Pointer School is an Independent prep and pre-prep in Blackheath, South East London. We are seeking inspirational, dedicated, and enthusiastic staff to join our thriving wraparound care provision in the Late Class.

Our Late Class is open every day after school providing flexible childcare for parents, and is open to all children aged 3 to 11 within the school. 

The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young children and may be looking to start a career in childcare, gain or develop existing skills, or try something brand new. Our Late Class Assistants are high energy and are expected to lead a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games and drama.

A passion for working with children along with adaptability, flexibility and reliability are key. You must have the right to work in the UK, Hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS and be at least 18 years old.

Late Class runs every day during term time from 15:15-18.45.

The school is a Real London Living Wage employer. The annual salary for this role is £9,155.

The Pointer School is totally committed to safeguarding the welfare of students and young people and expects the same from its employees. All new staff will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, identity checks, qualification checks and employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps within employment, two satisfactory references and registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
