Job overview

Sheffield UTC Olympic Legacy Park are looking for a dynamic Learning Manager to support learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment in Years 9-11.

The UTC Sheffield Academy Trust provides unique dynamic education. We opened our City Centre site in September 2013 specialising in Engineering and Creative & Digital Media and then expanded to open our second UTC on the exciting new Olympic Legacy Park in Sheffield in September 2016, offering opportunities for students in Health Science, Computing and Sports Science. From its success the Trust has continued to grow, with UTC Derby Pride Park joining us in December 2019, offering Engineering and Health & Life Sciences. All 3 UTCs are rated Ofsted Good.

Support staff are vital within any UTC and we are looking for a KS3/4 Learning Manager. You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of support services in a fast paced, student-focused environment where conflicting demands are the norm. Effective communication and team working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. You will work as part of our team, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, SENCO, Deputy SENCO and Learning Managers providing support for students, teachers and the UTC in order to support safeguarding and raise standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement for all our students. Whilst the contract for the role is 52 weeks, the successful candidate will have the flexibility to accrue hours to allow further leave to be taken during the UTC holiday periods.
