Actual salary £15,319 - £15,523 pa depending upon service

26 hours 40 minutes a week, Monday to Friday

Flexible start times of 8.40am or 9am, full details of hours will be discussed at interview. 

39 working weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring and energetic person to join our Learning Support Faculty. The team are dedicated, positive and friendly. You should be approachable, patient and understanding to support identified students with special educational needs and/or disabilities to enable them to access the curriculum.

  • A positive 'can-do' attitude, inclusive values and a great sense of humour!
  • A team player
  • Good organisational skills

Duties involved:

  • Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task
  • Interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills
  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate

The Boswells School is an extremely popular, academically successful, over subscribed 11-18 school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, that has an excellent reputation within our community.

The school has a staff wellbeing committee who meet half termly to ensure the views of the whole staff body are shared.  The school is also signed up for the 'Education Staff Wellbeing Charter'

Continuous Professional Development

We are passionate about the development of our staff and have a robust schedule of professional development opportunities. We aim to cater for the needs of all staff members, from our Early Career Teachers to those that are preparing for leadership. Our CPD activities are delivered in a range of formats with both compulsory and optional elements to suit the needs of the staff member.
