We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery and work with a pupil in Year 5. This is a full time, term time only role, although we would welcome applications from those looking for part time or a job share opportunity.

We are looking for a supportive individual who is able to work with a year 5 pupil on a 1:2:1 basis.  Supporting both in and out of lessons you will play a key role in the education journey of our pupils.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for education to join our support staff. We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced teaching assistant or if you are looking to gain experience in a school support role. This role would also suit someone with Early Years, Nursery school or coaching experience looking to move into a teaching assistant role.

We would like to hear from anyone who has a drive for education and supporting children. Having experience of working in a school setting is not essential however previous experience would be looked upon favourably. You will also be joining an excellent support department where training will be provided.

Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 2 to 11, where pupils get the best start possible and learn in a happy and secure environment. Founded in 1917, we have been educating, nurturing and challenging children for over 100 years. We would like to hear from you if you are able to;

·        Support our pupils both in and out of lessons.

·        Assist our pupils on either a one to one basis or in small groups within the classroom environment.

·        Assist with, plan and preparing for lessons with our teacher in line with the schools curriculum.

·        Maintain standards within lessons and support pupils of all ability.

·        Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety.

·        Support pupils who have speech and language needs.
