The School is looking for a proactive and conscientious to join the Operations Team and assist the Operations Manager with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the school estates and vehicles.

Key duties include, but not limited to:

  • General maintenance tasks and duties.
  • Reactive and planned remedial works.
  • Seasonal work such as path gritting, leaf clearing and as instructed by the Operations Manager.
  • All legal documentation kept electronically and up to date.

Alternating shift patterns as per below:

  • Shift 1: 06:00 – 14:30 (Term Time only)
  • Shift 2: 12:30 – 21:00 (Term Time only)
  • 08:00 – 17:30 (School holiday periods)

The role requires the role holder to be ‘On-Call’ on a rotational basis.

St Mary’s School is a girls-only, non-selective, Roman Catholic, all-through school with sixth form situated in Cambridge. It is an independent school with day and boarding options. A smaller than average school, it provides 750 places for junior, senior and sixth-form students between the ages of 3 and 18 when fully subscribed.

The school was founded by sisters from the Congregation of Jesus in 1898. They drew their inspiration from 17th-century religious sister the Venerable Mary Ward, basing it on her vision of the essential dignity of each human.
