We are seeking a Maths and English Assessor (MEA) to join our team at HMP Peterborough.

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role: 

  • Must have GCSE in Maths and English.
  • The ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Previous experience of delivering functional skills in the classroom is essential. 
  • Must have the ability to always communicate effectively through different mediums, including spoken and written communication.
  • To be considered for the role you must have a working knowledge of IT, including Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Enthusiasm for the subject area is essential.
  • You’ll be working alongside Teachers/Colleagues to ensure that the learner journey is effectively mapped out and sequenced in the prison.
  • You will be completing effective assessments on all prisoners within the Induction process.
  • You will provide information on learner progress to stakeholders / staff as required.  
  • Ensure that learner records are accurate and maintained in line with data protection and TMC policies and ensuring the safeguarding of learners.
