Medical/Pastoral/Administration assistant required (Fulltime and permanent)

Salary range Grade B (£26.634 - £27,855 pro rata). Term time only (40 weeks)

32.5 hours/week (8:30am-3:30pm)

To further support our pupils, we are seeking a compassionate and organised individual to take on the role of Medical/Pastoral/Administration Assistant.

Role Overview

You will play a key role in managing the health, pastoral care and assist with some administrative tasks within the school. The position will be based in our dedicated medical room, where you will provide both routine and emergency first aid to pupils. You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining pupil healthcare plans and be part of the school's safeguarding team.

Pastoral care will be another important aspect of your role, as you will work directly with children and parents, offering advice and support on school-related or personal matters.

In addition to medical responsibilities, you will assist the administrative team with various tasks, including data entry, managing the school payment system, website updates and maintaining and analysing surveys and data using Excel. You will also order school supplies and manage stock levels.

We are looking for someone who will work well as part of our wonderful team, is able to use their own initiative, has excellent communication skills and who has good literacy and numeracy skills. First Aid qualification and Safeguarding training is desirable but not essential.

The school was graded as outstanding in all areas in our most recent Ofsted inspection (October 2019) with inspectors commenting ‘Leaders and teachers provide an education of exceptional quality…. It is an exciting and friendly place to be’. Our February 2022 section 48 inspection graded us as outstanding in both the RE Curriculum and the Catholic Life of the School.
