Primary Music Teacher – United Lisbon International School

United Lisbon International School is looking for an experienced music teacher to teach music as part of the school curriculum. The music teacher will follow the guidelines set out by the school, including the theory and practice of general music, singing and playing musical instruments.

The successful candidate is expected to create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young learners and help them grow in appreciation of music. The music teacher should possess skills in playing musical instruments, plan concerts for student participation, and create after-school music clubs.

 

Music Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach general styles of music.
  • Teach singing to learners from beginner to advanced level.
  • Incorporate musical instruments and movement in lessons.
  • Plan and implement a program of instruction, including lesson plans.
  • Prepare learners for school concerts and planned music experiences.
  • Inspire and motivate students to extend themselves to after-school music clubs.
  • Build relationships and mentor students.

 

Music Teacher Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in music.
  • Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Choral pedagogy.
  • Team player
