The school is looking to recruit either a graduate teacher or an experienced teacher, with a netball specialism, or an experienced netball coach to join our passionate and ambitious sports department.
Netball at St Swithun’s has enjoyed considerable success over the last 5 years. A large percentage of our pupils are actively engaged in the sport along and we have had a number of appearances in the National Schools Finals and won the School Sport Magazine National Schools U15 Cup in 2022. The successful candidate will teach across the breadth of our varied curriculum and will be able to coach netball to a high standard across all age groups.
St Swithun’s is a popular and successful selective girls’ school committed to developing innovative teaching and learning; open communication with parents and being a tolerant, kind and supportive community in which every pupil feels able to try new challenges without fear of failure.

St Swithun’s Senior School is an independent, Church of England, 11-18, day and boarding girls’ school, situated in Winchester in Hampshire. The school, which has approximately 520 girls on its roll, is a registered charity and is governed by the school council.
In 1884, seventeen pupils began attending Winchester High School. The pupil population then grew to over 60 and the school began to take day pupils and boarders. Its name was changed to Winchester Girls’ School in 1909 and then, after World War I, to St Swithun’s School.
