Nursery Practitioner – Maternity Cover

We are looking for a committed and competent nursery practitioner to join the friendly team at this popular nursery in the heart of Notting Hill. The successful candidate will help plan and deliver engaging learning activities in accordance with the EYFS learning goals. QTS, Montessori Diploma or the minimum of a relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification, as well as experience of teaching in an EYFS setting, is essential.

The position will involve contact with, and responsibility for, children and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.

The position is to cover for maternity leave for the Spring and Summer Terms, but may be extended into Autumn Term 2025. The position is term time, Monday to Friday mornings (8.15am – 4.30pm). However, there is the possibility that a part-time role will be considered.

Salary is competitive, depending on experience.

If you are keen to join our team, please tick the ‘Apply’ button to submit your application form.

The closing date for completed applications is 9am on Monday 4th November, although early applications are encouraged. Interviews will be scheduled soon after the closing date. Short-listed candidates can expect to have an interview and to teach an observed lesson.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are ‘spent’ unless they are ‘protected’ under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

The school is an equal opportunities employer.
