Outwood Academy Acklam seeks applications from outstanding applicants to join our academy as a One-to-One Violin Tutor.

We are seeking to appoint a committed individual to work as part of a dedicated team of staff. We are seeking someone who can effectively support selected students through individually tailored peripatetic music sessions.

As a one to one tutor you will contribute to raising the standards of student attainment through planning, implementing and delivering a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum in the relevant subject. 

In this role you will be expected to deliver intervention programmes to students in collaboration with department staff, using your understanding to discuss underperformance from students and in turn develop suitable intervention materials to improve the student performance. 

There will be an expectation to liaise with department heads and teachers to provide feedback on student development, as well as support with exam specific revision sessions. 

Applicants should ideally be educated at degree level in the relevant subject and must hold at the very minimum hold an AS/A2 level qualification in the relevant subject, equally, applicants must have an ability to work with students up to GCSE level as a minimum. 

Outwood Academy Acklam, the first Outwood school in Teesside, has an enrollment of almost 1200 students each academic year. In its most recent assessment, it was recognized as a GOOD school with EXCEPTIONAL leadership.
