Job overview

About Us

Aspire is an academy trust led by Debra Rutley NLE. We have three AP schools in  Buckinghamshire, a nurture school, a hospital teaching service, a medical needs and home tuition service, as well as leading a number of outreach and wellbeing projects in schools across the county.

Students attend full or part-time and are referred to us by schools and the Local Authority. Our focus is to support young people, together with their families and schools, to reach beyond their potential and enable them to flourish by developing positive behaviours, attitudes and aspirations.

About the Role

Outreach is an Early Intervention Programme, and is best introduced when a student's behaviour has reached a level where a Pastoral or Behaviour Support Plan is being  considered. The Outreach Team works with individual students on a weekly basis to reduce the risk of exclusion of specific students in partner secondary schools and academies across Buckinghamshire. We build a bespoke programme for each student that we work with, depending on the challenges they are facing and the aims that they, their family and school have.

About You

You will have excellent oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and  good IT skills. You will be resilient and tactful, and be able to establish professional working relationships with adults and students. You should have experience of supporting secondary-aged children and of working as part of a team. Training to fulfil this highly-specialised role will be given.

You will need to have use of your own car (travel expenses will be paid).

We are looking for extraordinary people to join our team. We look forward to meeting you!

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and education of our students and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check and references will be required along with the completion of a Health Questionnaire.
