About our school:

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Liverpool Progressive School. The school provides specialist education which supports the educational needs of young people aged 8 – 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs and a range of associated social, emotional, interaction and sensory difficulties.

This is an exciting time to join Liverpool Progressive School as an Outreach Teacher. The Outreach Teacher will be responsible for planning and teaching sessions in the community and home-based settings, working 1:1 with pupils. We are seeking an experienced Teacher/Tutor on a fixed-term contract for 12-months to support our students who are not engaging with education at our on-site location.  

Overview of the role of Outreach Teacher:

· Plan lesson materials and deliver English and Maths up to function skills, alongside PSHE for complex needs and hard to reach pupils

· Providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes

· Helping and supporting individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves

· Keeping a register of pupils' attendance, set assignments and homework, mark pupils work, record completion, write progress reports and carry out continuous assessment

We would love to hear from people who:

· Passionate champions of students with SEND

· At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment

· QTS would be advantageous, but this is not a requirement
