PA to Head & HR Administrator

Required for April 2025

Maternity Cover

Located in the heart of central London, Knightsbridge School is a modern through school founded in September 2006.  KS offers a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum preparing both boys and girls for their next step in life. The school begins in the Nursery class with full-time education for three year olds and goes through to 16 year olds and GCSE examinations.

At Knightsbridge School, we educate and nurture the whole child, providing opportunities for each child to discover and develop their unique talents and abilities. Our children work hard and play hard.  We create a culture of achievement within a vibrant and stimulating learning environment ensuring positive reinforcement at all levels of ability through appropriately differentiated expectations. Our vision is for Knightsbridge School children to stand on their own as lifelong learners, growing in confidence and independence, prepared to be major contributors to our global challenges.

We have grown to a staff team of over 100, based on a strong culture of being forward-looking and innovative in our approach without sacrificing traditional strengths and by recruiting, developing and retaining high  -calibre staff who are themselves open to learning and who are given extensive training opportunities for continuing professional development.

We are seeking a PA to the Head who will also have responsibility for all the school’s HR processes and administration.  These duties complement each other well and will put the job-holder at the centre of the school’s success in being organised, efficient and most of all, approachable. Whilst being the first point of contact for HR matters, the role will be able to draw upon the support and guidance of the Central HR team for more complex issues. The role requires an understanding of the education environment and the school life, including the requirement for school inspection. A number of ‘hats’ have to be worn, sometimes all at the same time.  A cool head, unflappable nature and sense of humour are essential.

For further details please see the school website www.knightsbridgeschool.com or contact Rosie Hill at HR@knightsbridgeschool.com or 020 7590 9000.

Knightsbridge School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.  All successful candidates will be subject to DBS checks and other relevant employment checks.

The values they promote are: mutual respect, independent thinking, positive attitudes and participation.

Knightsbridge School concentrates on classical education, with an emphasis on literacy and reasoning, as well as encouraging children to take part in extra-curricular activities. ISI report

“Knightsbridge School is highly successful in meeting all of its aims. The achievements of its pupils, including those of children in the EYFS, are excellent. Pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND or EAL and the more able, make rapid progress. Many older pupils are successful in gaining entry to highly selective senior schools.”
