DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Recruiting - Part Time School Counsellor

At DBSEH, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, engaging, and committed Part-Time School Counsellor (3 full days per week) with a proven track record of working with young children and teaching staff. The School Counsellor plays a vital role in supporting and empowering the social, emotional, personal, and academic growth of all students. As an advocate for students, the Counsellor operates proactively, working under the guidance and supervision of the Whole School Counsellor. By collaborating with teachers, parents, colleagues, and the local and international community, the Counsellor provides students with the resources they need to access the school curriculum, achieve academic success, and foster personal well-being.

Person Specification:

Education: Certification in Counselling or Psychology 

Experience: 

At least two years' school-based experience or previous experience working with schools and students in a counseling capacity is desirable. 

A degree in education/psychology/counselling. 

A committed and creative individual with excellent organizational skills. 

Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with students and staff.
