Job overview
We are seeking an excellent part-time teacher of Science. The successful candidate would be a good team player and a career teacher who can communicate a love of the subject and contribute strongly to a committed team.
You would be required to:
- Deliver lessons for Science (specialising in Physics, Chemistry and Biology) to KS3 level
- Desirable - Ability to teach KS4 level (any of the sciences)
- Have a good honours degree or equivalent QTS in Science or a Science based discipline, although this role is open to trainee teachers (ECT)
- Start Date: 22nd April 2025

Sackville School, founded in 1987, is a secondary coeducational school for pupils between the ages of 11 and 18. It is an independent school located in Hildenborough, Tonbridge, Kent owned by Alpha Schools Limited which is one of the largest operators of independent schools in the UK. At present, there are around 130 students enrolled. This includes 95 boys and 35 girls. The government has labelled the premises as a historical park.

The children are encouraged to develop new skills with the support from excellent teachers. They are taught to have a positive outlook on learning, to be respectful of others and have good manners. Strict rules have been implemented to make sure pupils behave well. Wearing a school uniform, for example, will help them understand how to conduct themselves in the workplace.
