Job overview

Founded in 1970, Campion's purpose is to provide a first-class education for boys and girls aged between three and eighteen, fostering abilities both in the field of academic and general education, and in sporting activities and the performing arts. Our IB results are consistently five points above world average with nearly all our pupils progressing to higher education. Last year, our IB average was 36 points and amongst one of the best in Europe. Our most recent ISI inspection (March 2023) judged the Educational Quality we provide to our pupils to be excellent.

We are seeking to appoint a maternity replacement for the rest of the academic year and possibly longer. The successful applicant will be expected to teach General Science in Key Stage 3, Biology and Chemistry at IGCSE level, and IB Biology SL to pupils in Year 12; a strong academic background is, therefore, essential.

Campion is committed to the continual professional development of its staff and full IB training is available.

What we are looking for:

• Highly skilled educators with the ability to engage and stretch high-performing students

• A track record of excellent teaching

• A recognised teaching qualification from the same country as the passport

• The ability to motivate and inspire students

• Creative teaching skills and a professional approach

• The determination to raise students' achievement

• Resilience and optimism: someone who is willing to go the extra mile in the busy life of the school

• A sense of humour

• The encouragement of co-curricular activities

Please apply by email, by including a completed application form, to the Headmaster - Michael Henderson, headmaster@campion.edu.gr. Applications should be submitted no later than Friday 15 November 2024 10:00 am (Greek time). Interviews will happen shortly afterwards. However, we reserve the right to invite candidates for interview prior to the closing date and to close vacancies early if we have sufficient suitable candidates. Therefore, we encourage interested applicants to submit an application as soon as possible.

Further information regarding the school can be obtained from the school’s website, www.campion.edu.gr
