Premises Manager (36 hours/week for 52 weeks/year)

We take pride in our well-maintained facilities and are seeking a skilled Premises Manager to ensure our school remains a safe, secure, and welcoming place for students, staff, and visitors.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and hands-on Premises Manager to oversee the maintenance, security, and health & safety compliance of our school site. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school’s premises, including managing contractors, responding to maintenance issues, and ensuring our facilities support high-quality teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee site security, maintenance, and health & safety to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Lead and manage the premises team, ensuring efficient running of school facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance, liaising with contractors when required.
• Monitor budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective site management.
• Lead on and manage income generation through lettings
• Ensure compliance with all statutory health & safety regulations and risk assessments.
• Work collaboratively with school leaders and staff to meet the school’s operational needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience in facilities, site, or premises management, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance.
• The ability to lead a team and work proactively and independently.
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment.
