We are delighted to have an opportunity for a talented and well-qualified Prep Music Teacher to join Prep. This is a fixed term contract until August 2025.
This is a very exciting time to join Westholme Prep. We are looking for a well-qualified Prep Music Teacher to join our enthusiastic team at one of the leading independent 4 – 18 schools in the North.
The successful candidate will join friendly and supportive staff who are committed to working together to achieve the best for our children to help them grow and develop into independent, resilient and life-long learners. The successful candidate will have qualified teacher status, Honours degree or equivalent qualification in Music and experience teaching music in the primary age range in more than one key stage / phase – EYFS/KS1 or KS2 or equivalent education setting.
Purpose of the Prep Music Teacher role:
- To lead the provision of music across the Prep School to ensure excellent opportunities for all children.
- To teach Music within the School curriculum and to carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Principal.
- Seek to establish and maintain productive relationships to promote understanding of music.
- To promote the vision, aims and values of the school and contribute to the implementation of the School Strategic Development Plan.
A willingness to be involved in extra-curricular activities such as clubs, competitions and educational visits is essential, and other interests which are particular strengths of the successful candidate would also be welcome.
