Beijing Haidian Kaiwen Academy (KWA), is a K-12 international school

accredited by Cognia and is a WASC candidate school. Located at the foot of the picturesque and historic YuQuan Mountain, Haidian District in Beijing, the KWA campus is 200,000 square meters of beautiful gardens that integrate natural ecology, cultural heritage, and modern beauty with 140,000 square meters of green space.

Job Description:

ACADEMIC ASPECTS:

• Plan, prepare and deliver English lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.

• Develop semester plans, unit plans, lesson plans and exams that are in accordance with Common Core and NGSS standards.

• Follow the school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support policy

• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.

• Provide appropriate and timely student feedback on completed work.

• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use data to adjust teaching strategies and student goals.

• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development.

• Assign and grade class work, homework, exams and assignments.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT:

• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing procedures based on PBIS and Tribes attributes.

• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.

• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

• Prepare classroom for class activities.

•Some lunch duty and recess duty.

Requirement：

• Four-year degree from an accredited university

• PGCE or higher

• QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent

• Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school

Preferred Qualifications

• Include the minimum qualifications, plus the following:

• Master’s degree, preferably in education or the subject the teacher instructs

• Five years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school
