About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary ICS Teacher (ages 7 to 12) to join our dynamic team at Dipont Huayao Collegiate School Kunshan. This role is ideal for educators passionate about introducing young learners to the world of computing, coding, and digital literacy in an engaging and hands-on way.
- As a Primary ICS Teacher, you will help students develop essential computational thinking, problem-solving, and digital skills through interactive projects and creative learning experiences.
- Teach foundational computer science concepts to elementary students, focusing on coding, problem-solving, and digital literacy.
- Develop engaging, hands-on lessons using block-based coding (e.g., Scratch, Blockly) to introduce programming basics.
- Guide students in computational thinking, including sequencing, pattern recognition, and basic debugging.
- Teach digital literacy and online safety, ensuring students understand responsible internet use and digital citizenship.
- Help students understand how computers function and how devices connect.
- Support students in data management, including organizing files, basic spreadsheets, and presenting digital information.
- Encourage creativity through multimedia projects, such as digital storytelling, animation, and simple game design.

This is Dipont’s third independent school project, following the successful establishment of RDFZ King’s College School Hangzhou and Nanwai King’s College School Wuxi. The campus in Kunshan is nearing completion and, at capacity, will provide an outstanding learning environment for 2,800 scholars and feature state-of-the-art laboratories, a performing arts center with an 800 seat theater and first-class sports complexes.
The school is enrolling students for September 2020 and opening up a range of teaching positions from preschool to 10th grade. By 2022, the school will grow into a full upper school through 12th grade, offering AP classes and advanced specialized electives in all subject areas over the following two years.
The campus consists of:
• A preschool for children aged 2 to 6
• An elementary school for grades 1 to 5
• A middle school for grades 6 to 8
• An upper school for grades 9 to 12
