NBA Al Dafna is part of a group of 9 schools in Qatar, catering to an international community of learners from Foundation 1 (Nursery) to Year 6.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Primary Music Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive school community. As a Primary Music Teacher, you will inspire a love of music in our students and contribute to their holistic development through engaging and creative lessons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured music lessons that foster creativity and musical expression.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Organise and lead school musical performances, assemblies, and other events to showcase student talent.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to integrate music into cross-curricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records to track students’ progress and provide regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Support the inclusion of all learners by working closely with SEN and EAL staff.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching music in a primary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to plan and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for music and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in children.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
