United Lisbon International School is looking to hire a Primary teacher. This is a full-time position responsible for teaching students in the Primary years using the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate cross-curricular topics and promote a holistic approach to learning.
  • Use technology to enhance teaching and learning and promote digital literacy among students.
  • Participate in professional development activities and continuously update your knowledge of current best practices in teaching and learning.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education.
  •  Teaching certification with a specialization in Primary Education.
  • At least two years of experience teaching in a Primary School setting, preferably using the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to connect with the students, parents, and staff, forming positive relationships;
  • Ability to work with classroom delivery devices such as Interactive boards, tablets, a
  • Ability to work independently but also be a sharing team player,
  • Experience with content creation and basic design skills and software;
  • Committed and willing to learn more, adapt and gain new skills, as well as pursue professional development;
  • Willingness and capacity to organize and invest in extra-curricular activities as part of the whole-school effort,
  • Availability to attend Parents-Teachers conferences on occasional evenings.
