Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG!

Do you want to work in a dynamic and innovative environment?

Do you have a passion for supporting pupils to achieve their full potential?

Do you want a great work life balance?

Groveside School is an exciting Brand-New School opening in September 2024 in Reading, Berkshire. We are looking for Teachers to be a part of our new venture, in supporting up to 60 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Our school is for 7 - 16 year old.

We are looking for Teachers to join us in September 2024 and would love to hear from you if you are looking for a new opportunity working in a school where you can truly make a difference at the beginning of a new school venture.

Job Title:      Primary Teacher

Location:     Groveside School, Reading, Berkshire

Salary:       Up to £42,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours:           37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract:     Permanent; Term Time only

About the Role

The successful applicant will be accountable for student progress and development within the primary department and maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers. The postholder will be aware of the statutory frameworks within which they work and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the policies and practice of the school.

You will provide a first-class education to each student that attends the school, though their own professional development and be a role model of professionalism and good practice.

This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly, focusing on each individual and who is skilled at developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Educated to degree level and/or of Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.
