The new Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team at Unsted Park School & Sixth Form are looking to recruit an outstanding KS2 Teacher to join their Teaching team!


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3/4 Primary Teacher to join our vibrant Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire a love of learning and support the holistic development of our students. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS2.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students in Year 3/4.
  • Create a supportive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that facilitates active learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student learning and well-being.
  • Manage classroom behavior in a manner that promotes self-discipline and respect among pupils.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Engage with school policies and contribute to a positive school ethos.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, ensuring all pupils receive personalized feedback to support their learning journey.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching KS2, preferably within Year 3/4.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students, but training will be provided to support this.
  • A passion for creative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities and school initiatives.



Unsted Park School is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with 44 acres of surrounding grounds. We are a residential/day SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 7 to 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties.
