Job overview

We are seeking an innovative, skilled, and adaptable Technician and Workshop assistant to join our Product Design team. The successful candidate will engage with staff and students to ensure safe and effective practical work can take place with appropriate machines and resources. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact in the efficient delivery of a practical education inspiring the future designers, engineers, and innovators.

In addition to providing key materials, inventory, and stock the ideal candidate will be skilled in practical work, and keen to share experience, wisdom and expertise in different techniques. Equipment maintenance schedules are established, and provide a framework for safe operation in the department.
