A rare opportunity has arisen to join us to deliver Biology in the Faculty of Maths and Science. Exeter College was graded Outstanding again in last Ofsted inspection (2022/23) and is consistently rated in the top 10 FE Colleges in the UK (NICDEX). Exeter College effectively provides a Sixth Form for Exeter as well as drawing in students from across the region due to our reputation for excellence. We deliver to great students in a 16+ environment. The college is based a short walk from the thriving city centre of Exeter in the heart of Devon with the South Devon Coast, Dartmoor and the Jurassic Coast all within easy reach.

The faculty predominantly delivers courses at A Level and BTEC Applied Science (level 3), Access to HE Diploma, the International Baccalaureate and a small GCSE offer. We have had sustained growth with excellent outcomes and Value-Added over many years. The faculty actively listens to its learners, and we have very positive learner feedback. You will be joining an exceptionally positive and collaborative team with a passion for teaching and learning, and a strong commitment to sharing ideas and resources. Each team is led by a Curriculum Area Manager. You also will have a mentor and the support of a Tutorial Area Manager, Deputy Head of Faculty and Head of Faculty, as well as the wider support of a large and Outstanding college. As a Programme Leader you will have the opportunity to take on responsibility for an aspect of a course that you deliver, depending upon your strengths and the balance within the team. As a member of the biology/applied science teams your delivery is likely to focus on A level and biology units within the BTEC Applied Science course. A permanent post is available due to growth in student numbers and internal promotion of a member of the team.
