The Role:

 A fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding college and a Centre of Excellence in Hair and Beauty!

Do you have experience in the beauty therapy and nail industry? We are seeking a high-calibre Programme Tutor in Beauty Therapy and Nails to join our Retail and Commercial Faculty. This role is crucial for our future plans and involves approximately 24 hours of teaching per week. Responsibilities include managing learner attendance, assessment, progress tracking, setting SMART targets, employer engagement, and supporting personal development, behaviours, and welfare.

 

Key Responsibilities for our Programme Tutor in Beauty Therapy and Nails:

  • Promote excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment within the Faculty.
  • Organise teaching and learning for a specific group of learners.
  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.
  • Set value-adding targets for learners to achieve stretching learning goals and support them to complete their programmes successfully.

 

Requirements:

To be successful as a Programme Tutor in Beauty Therapy and Nails, you will need: 

  • Relevant industry experience and a minimum of level 3 in Beauty Therapy and Nails.
  • Previous classroom experience or training experience.
  • Commitment to personal CPD.
  • Ability to stretch and challenge learners to achieve their full potential.


The right individual will join a supportive faculty team that includes other curriculum areas, to secure high quality curriculum delivery and progression pathways as well as develop a flexible delivery model to suit both full time and part time learners, on site and off site/on-line learning.

Oldham College was established in 1893 following a donation from the Platt family who were famously manufacturers of textile machinery. Their generosity led to the institution of the school for art and science in Oldham Town Centre.
