The teaching positions available are for passionate and talented PYP Arabic Homeroom Teachers who have the ability to motivate, empower and engage students in their own learning, by delivering high quality and innovative educational experiences. Applicants will have the confidence in using technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning engagements and to promote student independence and agency. They must have a willingness to employ a range of teaching methodologies to engage students and to further their learning outcomes. Applicants will utilize best assessment practices that identify students’ strengths and areas of development, which will inform student goals and action plans for student growth and attainment. Applicants must be outstanding at classroom management where students feel cared for with positive structures in place for encouraging the correct behaviour choices.

The school’s approach to education is through transdisciplinary inquiry. We would be delighted to talk with teachers who understand how to build language skills across the curriculum, and who are able to effectively differentiate for a range of learners. We strive for academic excellence and cater for all levels of ability including giftedness. The successful applicants must be able to work effectively with others, as well as display initiative to contribute to the enhancement of the wider school community.

He / She would also be a part of the largest school in the QF family of schools, with over 1713 student from Early Years then Preschool age 3 years up to Grade 12. Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) is an IB school using the curriculum frameworks for PYP, MYP and DP. The Early Education Centers use the creative curriculum for learning.


Qualifications & Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree in education-Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Islamic Studies.

- Minimum 2 years teaching experience teaching in relevant grade level or the relevant subject matter. 

- Must have attested teaching certification or PGCE equivalent credentials                    

-Teaching Certification / Bachelor’s Degree (must be a face to face qualification - online qualifications are not recognised by Qatar).

- International Baccalaureate PYP experience must.

-Enthusiastic practitioners who are excited by growth and innovation ; Committed to the wider school life and co-curricular programme

-Willing to lead initiatives and put ideas into action

-Demonstrated evidence of successful collaboration with Student-Growth Mindset

-Understanding that all teachers are teachers of language and different learning needs

-Dual Language (Arabic/English) preferred

-Teaching couples must be married as per Qatari work visa requirements.

-Clear criminal record and background check.

-Clear medical history for HIV, Hepatitis

About Qatar Academy Doha

Qatar Academy is the name given to a group of independent schools located across Qatar. Owned and run by the Qatar Foundation, the schools are part of the International Baccalaureate World Schools Programme, and as such offer a wide range of qualifications for students to study for. The school offers Primary and Middle Years International Baccalaureate programmes, providing a diverse and far-reaching range of subjects for younger students supported by an extensive range of modern recreational and academic facilities, including auditoriums, music studios, creative arts areas, and modern technological and craft workshops. Older students work towards the International Baccalaureate Diploma, an internationally-recognised qualification accepted by a huge number of global universities. Teaching information

Teachers at Qatar Academy are expected to hold an appropriate undergraduate degree, and a proper teaching certification such as a postgraduate diploma, as well as at least two years of teaching experience in a relevant field. Teachers at the schools receive full medical care and housing, as well as proper support in order to aid international travel.
