The Phorms School Frankfurt is a bilingual German-English and state-recognised alternative school with two locations. Our Phorms Frankfurt City primary school with a reception class is located in the conveniently situated Holzhausenviertel. With a size of only about 300 students, this is a particularly family-oriented and urban school location. The promotion of individual strengths and differentiated teaching play a major role within our all-day concept. The international pedagogical team accompanies the students with our bilingual concept from the primary school with the introductory level to the transition to the secondary school. Thanks to the trusting atmosphere, all children can develop their full potential with the support of our teachers and become open-minded young people with a wide range of interests during their time at school.

Reception Teacher

Your Responsibilities
- Creating a positive, supportive and welcoming learning environment in the classroom
- Build trust and rapport with children to create a secure and supportive environment
- Integrate play as a tool for learning, encouraging curiosity and creativity
- Encourage children to explore, ask questions, and find solutions to simple challenges
- Tailor activities to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring all children can participate and progress
- Teach and model sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution
- Helping children to recognize and manage their emotions, promoting resilience and well-being
- Establishing routines and rules that help children understand behavioural expectations
Your Profile
- Certified training as an early years teacher, with a degree in education, early childhood education or equivalent, that leads to a teacher qualification
- Experience with differentiating teaching methods classes that encourage independent learning
- Approachable and caring person with a passion for working with children, especially in the reception/kindergarten age group
- An interest in the development and implementation of new pedagogical concepts that focus on the individualized development of students
- Act as a role model for students and enjoy teaching in a primary setting
- You can speak and teach English at a native level

About Phorms School Frankfurt
Located in Germany, Frankfurt City, Steinbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt and Strothoff International School in Dreieich near Frankfurt are co-educational bilingual independent schools. The schools offer provision for students starting in nursery or reception, going up to age 18 and the end of secondary school. The reception, primary and secondary departments are all located on the Campus Frankfurt City. The nursery and another primary and secondary school are located on the Campus Frankfurt Taunus in Steinbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt. The curriculum in Frankfurt and Steinbach (Taunus) is primarily based around the German education system, with students working towards the German Abitur, a university-preparatory qualification, as well as optional North American-style Advanced Placement Programmes. The curriculum at the school also has strong English/German bilingual elements, with students being exposed to and taught in both languages at a young age. Our Strothoff International School in Dreieich offers education from kindergarten to Secondary School with the IB Curriculum.
The campuses have seen significant development and modernisation over the years, and as a result are able to boast of a wide range of teaching and recreational facilities. These include a range of new facilities added by the opening of a brand new purpose-built school building in 2011, housing a swimming pool, numerous modern classrooms, a basketball court, playgrounds and recreational areas for students at every level of the school.
Teaching Information
Teachers and Educators at Frankfurt work in a more flexible environment, with less conventional homework being set and smaller class sizes than other schools. Teachers and Educators all be expected to have a strong grasp of both English and German, and to hold appropriate educational qualifications such as a postgraduate diploma.
