The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • Proven experience of working with employers/stakeholders.
  • Recruitment experience advantageous.
  • Excellent organisation skills including time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of Microsoft packages and CRM databases.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce reports in a format that is accessible and transferable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Process driven skills with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Advice and guidance experience advantageous but not essential.
  • An understanding of the significance of equality of opportunity.
  • An understanding of the importance and relevance of safeguarding within the educational environment.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
