Hockey, Football, Cricket, Netball and Swimming are delivered as the main sports across the curriculum, with Athletics and PE taught alongside these areas.
Graduate Assistants specialising in Games will be able to coach teams in areas of specialism, as well as getting experience in other sports, learning from our existing team of specialist teachers.
Repton Prep teaches French from Year 1 and introduces Latin into the curriculum in Year 6, and Spanish from Year 7. Our MFL department is a vibrant place to be, with lots of practical and spoken lessons, supported by a dedicated Language Lab.

As a Graduate Assistant interested in academic teaching, you will be able to support lessons and observe teachers in the classroom. As the year progresses, it will be possible to take small groups and offer additional sessions and lesson cover as required. You will learn the foundation skills needed to be an effective classroom practitioner. There is also chance to explore your passions and work in our Drama, Art, DT and Music departments.

The family also comprises two UK Prep schools: St Wystan’s School and Vinehall. Repton (UK) takes great pride in its international and UK family, and works closely with its overseas partners to ensure that each Repton international school fully reflects the standards, ethos and values of the UK school.

About Repton Preparatory School
Repton Prep is co-educational boarding and day school with over 400 pupils, aged from 3 to 13, set in the fifty-acre grounds of an eighteenth century Palladian mansion in South Derbyshire.
As a school, we believe that the most valuable education is one that is broad and balanced, enabling children to enjoy their childhood whilst benefiting from a wonderful range of opportunities both in and out of the classroom. We aim to encourage our children to use their minds well, to understand that with privilege comes responsibility, to make wise judgments; to be able to discriminate between good and better, between right and wrong. We believe that physical activity is important for growing children and that many important lessons for life are learnt in this arena.
Finally, we believe that no education is complete without a spiritual element to it, teaching children to appreciate beauty, to be creative and to value faith. With these elements in place, Repton Prep aims to produce young people at thirteen who are confident, who are achieving well in and out of the classroom and who are appreciative of the needs of others around them. Such young people will be well prepared for the senior phase of their education and for life beyond.
