Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader for one of our onsite School Residential Houses. The house provides care provision for students aged between 10 and 17, managing their care needs throughout the school day and in their home setting when overnight stays take place. You will be directly responsible to the Care Manager School Day Students for the welfare and organisation of an identified student group within the day provision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to further their career in social care.

This is a varied role where your duties will be to support students with their individual goals, write and regularly update care plans, and allocate staff to meet the students needs. You will be involved in reviewing the support needs of the students and the relevant funding levels required. You will be expected to support staff to encourage the students to do as much as possible for themselves by guiding and helping them to identify the assistance they require to live as independently as possible. The successful candidate will have to be very reactive to different situations and ensure communications across the multi-disciplinary team is effective and accurate to ensure the needs for the students are met.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent. You will also need relevant care experience and have good written and verbal communication skills.
